When can I renew my passport with GoFingerprint?


GoFingerprint can renew your passport if you have already had a full-validity (10 year) passport issued to you when you were 16 or older and your passport has not expired for more than 5 years after the expiration date.




All children under 16 must apply in person with parents or guardians, even if they've had a passport before.)


Steps to applying for a passport for children 16 and under: 1. Fill Out Form DS-11 2. Provide U.S. Citizenship Evidence (Birth Certificate, Certificate of Citizenship, etc) 3. Bring a front/back photo copy of the U.S. Citizenship evidence 4. Show parental relationship 5. Parents/Guardians must present ID 6. Bring a front/back photo copy of the ID 7. Show parental consent 8. Provide passport photo 9. Submit completed application




When am I required to apply in person for my passport?


You must apply in person at the Post Office using Form DS-11 if at least one of the following is true: 1. You are applying for your first U.S. passport 2. You are under age 16 3. Your previous U.S. passport was issued when you were under age 16 4. Your previous U.S. passport was lost, stolen, or damaged 5. Your previous U.S. passport was issued more than 15 years ago If none of the above statements apply to you, you may renew by mail with GoFingerprint.
